In a significant diplomatic move, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin held an in-depth discussion on the Ukraine war during their meeting in Turkmenistan. Following the meeting, Putin engaged in a brief conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Turkey's role as a potential mediator between Russia and Ukraine was discussed, as earlier talks in Istanbul had shown some progress.
